Headcanon Writing Friends RP Art

Oh, hey. I'm Takato Matsuda, and this is my best friend, Guilmon.

I saw a friend of mine messing around on one of these things, so me and Guilmon decided to give it a try too.

We'll both be around, so don't be surprised.

If you want to ask us things, go here.

[Only Takato is available for the time being.]

▷ Decisions to Make

crestofgluttony:

It had nagged on his mind since that little incident with Omegamon. If things were going to progress as they did, then Beelzemon could no longer keep the curse mark on his brother’s wrist.

At the same time, he was worried what removing it would cause.

It was conflicting, knowing what was best and what he was sure his brother and he would potentially agree on. Were the mark to remain- as he knew his brother would insist on- it meant that he had to pretend to be a mindless servant.

But even worse…

If the attacks did come, and Beelzemon knew they would, Gallantmon would be torn between having an act to keep up and doing his actual job. And while so far Omegamon was accepting of a necessity like this (for the most part, if Beelzemon remembered right) none of the others would be at all.

And the last thing Beelzemon wanted was to have his little brother be executed for something that posed no threat to their security at all.

On the other hand, were it removed, Beelzemon would once again be alone in the depths of the Dark Area, fighting by himself and with his back unguarded. Not that he wasn’t used to it, but it was easier, having someone to help break the monotony.

But then again, he knew his job wasn’t meant to be easy. It was just as Omegamon had pointed out- especially if asked about it despite the solid alibi he’d put together.

To want to keep the mark would be selfish.

To want to get rid of it would potentially threaten him later.

And now that he was engaged to Kuzuhamon, he had more of a reason than ever to not die. For her sake, as well as the rest of those he cared about.

But he wasn’t stupid. A great mess of things had happened because Beelzemon hadn’t stopped, talked to his brother about what was happening before he acted. And made sure he’d be okay regardless of the outcome.

That deadened look would not happen again.

With that in mind, he waited, sitting atop the hideout shed for his brother to inevitably follow routine and arrive there.

Gallantmon was so predictable sometimes.

As Beelzemon expected, Gallantmon did arrive there, with a bag of bread in tow and caped as well. Despite spring being around the corner, it was still colder than not. Yet, routinely, whenever not on the job, he would always return to the hideout to wait for Takato to return from school.

It was second nature, perhaps. As a child, he had always been the one to wait for his Tamer so they could catch up and play. And as Takato got older, while things had undoubtedly changed, he found that these changes were not undesirable.

With the past year, events that could not be forgotten or redone had occurred. His return to the Digital World, Takato’s involvement with Digital World affairs… his imprisonment and torture within the Dark Area.

Even now, the brand continued to glow.

His initial reaction to the brand was not necessarily forgotten, but it was one of the things he paid little to no attention to nowadays. Perhaps, he’d gotten used to it. In any event, it helped that Beelzemon had no intention of controlling him. It most certainly helped to know that, which was why he paid it no heed.

Still.

Thinking back to that horrible situation, he found that there was a dull ache in his chest that made him sick to his stomach.

But he wasn’t going to think about that. Rather, that train of thought came to a halt as he spotted Beelzemon sitting atop of the hideout. Waving, he walked over, peering upwards to the older Digimon, and smiled.

“Beelzemon!”

▷ Dark Hazard

fallingdarknesswarrior:

Kouichi blinked, feeling himself flush. He shifted his weight from side-to-side before gathering up the resolve to walk up towards the other boy, at least close enough to talk without standing in the way. The station was populated, but Kouichi made to focus solely on the Takuya-look-alike, hoping he didn’t seem too forward.

When he got close enough, a faint smile glittered on his face, apologetic. “Sorry, I mistook you for a friend.” Usually, he would have left the conversation at that and maybe walked away, but the object that had initially attracted his attention did so again. Sunlight filtering down from the clear windows caught the goggles’ plastic reflection, seemed inviting.

Honestly curious, and with nothing to loose, he had to wonder. “Can I ask about your goggles?” He gestured slightly towards the object, voice mild, speaking just loud enough to be heard over the background chatter. And his lips quirked up, trying to be friendly.

“Ahh, okay.” Takato nodded in response, somewhat puzzled. Who would he be mistaken for? While he wanted to ask, he figured it would be polite to refrain from doing so. Although, at the stranger’s next prompt, he found himself blinking curiously.

“My goggles?” He began uncertainly, not knowing how to exactly respond. Scratching his cheek out of nervous habit, the red-eyed adolescent found himself peering down at his worn, yellow and blue iconic goggles. “… Sure, I guess.”

It wasn’t every day someone came up to Takato asking about his goggles. It was kind of odd, he figured, but then again, he was the one wearing them to begin with. Although, his justification for wearing something like goggles in public was so in the event of a bioemergence and subsequently, a Digital Field, he would be able to navigate through the fog-like substance.

Of course, there was no way for him to explain that without seeming like he was making something up.

“What do you want to know about them?” He asked.

☮ : Bedroom/house/living quarters headcanon

Takato:

Everything he had before, he still has, although there are a few changes. Such as, a computer on his desk. Takato’s loft bed has been replaced with a regular bed.    To add to that, he’s still has a couple of Digimon Posters on his walls, as well as cards and the like scattered over the floor. He still has the Agumon figurine he got when he was a kid. He also has several floor cushions.

His library has more books than before, and he has a staggering amount of sketchbooks, all filled with sketches. In addition to the posters, he also has a push-pin board where pictures are displayed. Said pictures include him hanging out with the other Tamers, him at Okinawa with Kai and Minami, etc.

While his room isn’t wholly tidy, he does make an effort to keep it clean.

Gallantmon:

His room at Royal Knight Headquarters is something like a condominium. A bedroom, living room, personal kitchen, bathroom— it’s very convenient, and typically all the other Knights live in such comfortable conditions.

That said, he doesn’t have anything personalized about it. All the furniture he has is very basic, and he doesn’t care much for his room either because he would rather go home to the Matsuda Household than stay at Royal Knight Headquarters if he can avoid it.

☾ : Sleep headcanon

Takato:

Takato is a lucid dreamer. His dreams vary to whatever  he feels like, and can be realistic as going to school with his friends or having adventures in a completely surreal fantasy world.

He tends to sleep well, and is a bit of a light sleeper. Sometimes he stays up and doesn’t get enough rest in a night, leading him to doze off in class on occasion.

Despite turning sixteen this coming June, Takato still has a habit of sleeping next to Guilmon, if he happens to be nearby.

Gallantmon:

He doesn’t like sleeping in front of other people. There are two exceptions to this.

In contrast to Takato he’s on the heavy sleeper side of things. Unlike Takato, he cannot lucid dream.

He occasionally experiences night terrors when he sleeps alone.

He prefers to sleep in Takato’s room, although more than often, he’ll wake up and find the teenager draped over him with a blanket. Because of this, Guilmon often carries Takato back to bed and sleeps beside him.

When he has someone to sleep next to, he doesn’t experience night terrors.

♤ :  Cooking headcanon

Takato:

Takato is actually a decent cook. While his cooking is nowhere near spectacular, he still makes an effort to help his mother cook dinner after the bakery closes. That is, unless he’s running home late or isn’t home to help out.

Now that he’s older, his father’s been teaching him how to bake different kinds of bread. So his specialty lies with baking— not that this is a surprise.

Gallantmon:

He typically doesn’t cook. There wasn’t a need for him to learn how to because Royal Knights were presented a supplement that provides him energy to maintain their Mega forms, so that they may do work as Network Guardians.

However, ever since he came back home, he’d been watching and subsequently learning how to bake. He can make basic bread and cake by himself and is attempting to learn how to make Guilmon bread.

Why’d you always being too honest, huh? But once again, who cares about that? And who cares about my friendly act or something like that. It’s just like you’re the one who cares about that— Plus Jian.

[Shrugs]

Thanks for asking by the way, how about you?

Eh… I thought being honest was a good trait. Anyway, after all we’ve been through, I guess I still don’t know what to expect. We’re friends, aren’t we?

Ahh, well. I’m sorta stuck in a rut because I can’t think of what I want to draw.

▷ Same Face, Different Person

100percenttamer:

“Seriously. And at one point, Zero… well, we thought he’d destroyed himself in a final attack against Arkadimon. You have no idea how horrifying it is to see your best friend use his ultimate attack and crumble away into light, only to find out that it was ineffective,” Taichi replied, bowing his head mournfully. It stayed for a moment before it raised again.

“Thankfully…and I don’t know how, but he was able to return in his Mega form,” he smiled gratefully. And it was that miracle that had turned the tide of combat for them.

To have had to raise a Digimon in the human world, Taichi wondered what it was like. It had to be more difficult than playing with a toy like he had done, but he had to hand it to Takato for being able to raise his own partner and keeping him secret from others for what sounded like a long time.

“Massive- I mean, my adventures were only on the Folder continent the whole time I was there and it was gigantic enough. Though the Digimon there- the ones not on Daemon’s side- were really nice. I was fortunate to make a lot of friends, and a Gabumon named Gabo was traveling with me and Zero too. Boy did he prove invaluable later on,” Taichi laughed, reminiscing. “There weren’t any other Tamers helping me, unfortunately. There was a girl named Rei, but she never had a partner. She was just drawn into the Digital World.”

“There were other Tamers, but they were all my enemies, unfortunately. Neo Saiba and his Alias III group.”

Even if they were all friends now.

“If something like that happened to Guilmon, I don’t think I’d be able to stand that.” Takato murmured, watching Taichi bow his head. If Guilmon had gone and disappeared, or if he had died like that, Takato wouldn’t have known what to do with himself.

The thought of losing his best friend seemed too much to bear— it also doubled as something he never wanted to think about, despite knowing that his partner’s “job” was to give his life for the Digital World if deemed necessary.

Then again, Taichi’s partner… Zeromaru had a job like that too.

“So wait, you’re telling me that you had to travel through a continent alone—?” But as Taichi went on, Takato felt relieved to know that he had made friends along the way to help him. “Ah, I see. That’s good to hear!”

Looking back on it, without Jenrya or Ruki to help him, he would never had become the Tamer he was today. In fact, it sort of scared him to think of the possibility if they had never met, or if they had never decided to team up to fight Wild Ones. How would have things ended if they never fought against the D-Reaper, united?

That’s why, hearing that Taichi had to fight against other Tamers specifically came as a shock.

“You had to fight against other Tamers?”
